Phospholipase A2 Activity Test (Great Plains Laboratory Inc.)
The Phospholipase A2 Activity Test measures the activity of PLA2, the enzyme found in snake, spider and bee venom, but which our bodies also produce naturally as a response to physical trauma, invading microorganisms and foreign proteins such as allergens (particularly house dust and cats).
Dr Ahn recommends this test to patients because inflammation caused by the sustained release of PLA2 in the body is the root cause of many chronic conditions, including multiple sclerosis, cardiovascular disease, rheumatoid arthritis, gastrointestinal disorders, allergies, COPD, asthma and neuropsychiatric disorders.
The test measures the level of PLA2 in urine, which is considered a good marker for increased risk of developing or worsening of inflammatory conditions.
To take the test, simply provide 10 mL of first morning urine before having anything to eat or drink.
The results of the test can be used to diagnose and treat excess PLA2 by reversing the tissue damage, reducing inflammation and improving your health.
